On December 17, 2018, The Tremont Veterans Memorial hosted a Candlelight Gathering for Daniel E. Baker and his fellow Marines who died when their refueling KC130 collided with an F-18A fighter jet during a training mission over open waters off the coast of Japan. Our community is in mourning over all of these lives, but especially Daniel as he grew up in Tremont and has many, many friends and family here. His funeral will be Friday, December 21, 2018.
